This 1949-D Lincoln Cent has what looks like spots of raised metal along the right side of the obverse rim, but not on the rim itself. There is also a small bit of raised metal at the 12:00 position on the reverse by the S (dot) U. I am wondering if this is a Cud or perhaps a lamination?

If not these, what else could it be?

Thanks for any help offered.

Clear grease? Not a Cud for sure.

Sometimes this is grease. Try a tooth pick on to see it is grease:

If it is, then its clear grease.

I tried the toothpick trick but it didn't seem to change anything on the coin. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
