Does this make AU you think? Not my photos. Still trying to get my Peace dollar skills up. I was thinking it may be AU-53
Sorry about the dark photos

The 23S is a poorly struck date without much luster. This example looks original with a soft strike on the obverse, but the reverse strike looks better than average. The coin is not showing any wear or rim nicks like it has been well circulated, but toning can hide a lot. There is something going on at the top of wing as it could be a hit. I am at 55/58 and it could be MS, but hard to tell from these photos. If you can get the coin for 53 money, go for it. For wear on AU Peace dollars look at the hair above the forehead, top of eagle's wing, bust ridge and circulation rub on cheek and neck.

Hard to judge given how dark it is, but I'd certainly agree it's at least mid-AU.

I like the originality. That toning won't come off easily if you plan on removing it. AU-55
