I can't seem to get very good photos but I think you can see it okay. It is raised and weighs 3.18 grams. What do you think.

Looks like it may be a small lamination on the planchet.
Nice photography showing the detail.

Thanks. I don't think it's lamination. It is silver in color and I just can't seem tp photograph the color. Here are a couple more shots that seem to show some difference.

Could it be a small intrinsic metallic inclusion?

Looks more like a lamination issue to me. Why? Because of the ghost image of what peeled off the coin weakening the devices.

@vest, perhaps incomplete mixing of the alloy is what both caused the lam and the slight color differential.
