The obverse die crack/chip near 12 o'clock resembles a scalpel positioned for a pre-frontal lobotomy of poor King Louis XVI. There is an additional chip and crack going through the mint director's mark (crown) at 6 o'clock and some light cracks on the reverse involving the "I" of DOMINI and the mint mark "M" (Toulouse).
