2021 D LSC Doubled Ear Lobe. Best One I Have Found.

Sorry, that looks like a contact mark. Note the top of the affected area is pushed upwards. The area is flat and there is a 90 degree corner edge there. On a doubled earlobe, there would be a contour there. So it is coin damage. The full normal shape of the lobe is there, but the area you are looking at is the missing area where the metal was moved.

Doesn't appear flat to my eyes. Edge only appears straight with no contour due to the shadow.

First of all, great pics Jim. I am going to throw this out there and play "devil's advocate" on this one. What appears to be a small doubled earlobe has the same graininess as the surface plating of the rest of the coin. My first thought was that if this was a contact mark, wouldn't this flatten, distort, and remove the coin's small extra earlobe's original surface texture? My second observation is that I believe the "90 degree corner edge appearance" that coop is referring to could be due to a lighting issue where the shadow is present and not showing contour on the main earlobe. At the 5 and 6 o'clock positions, on the main earlobe, there is still shadowing but I believe it appears that I can see some contour there from the original strike. I don't know. Just wanted to throw this out there for discussion. This whole new 2021-D doubled earlobe has been a hot topic of discussion lately.
