Hello, first post here. I'd appreciate thoughts on this 2016 D Shawnee quarter. On obverse there appears a circular impression around head. On reverse the rock detail is completely absent. The coin has seen better days, clearly. Thank you in advance!

Damaged coin. Looks like it was scratched, sanded and polished. Any one of these events ruins the coin. So it is just spendable change now.

Thank you for the information! I can't imagine polishing the design offf of a coin, but I suppose people will do anything when they're bored!

Well they think it makes it look shiny, but it removes surface and devices on a coin.
