Mismatched serial numbers, definitely a collectible note. Not sure on value.

Steve in Tampa may be able to give you more information.

This the coin forum, have asked that it be moved to the currency forum.

Yes, it would have a premium. Hard to say how much as it is damaged with that fold.
Perhaps one of our error collectors can give you a value.

That is a very cool find. Congrats, I'd press it in a book to flatten it out.

a rough estimate---A misprint with a mismatched serial number will probably be worth around $500 in uncirculated condition. Mismatched serial number errors on circulated issues can be bought for less than $200.

Very cool note. I've only seen two mismatched serial numbers on the newer colorized notes, and both of them were $20 notes. This is the first colorized $5 note with a mismatched serial number that I've ever seen. I have a mismatched $5 FRN but it's a series 1974. Unfold any folded corners and get it into a quality currency sleeve. I'd probably even take it one step further and submit it for grading. Very cool note !

i think I was very under value on my rough estimate---the more I search the less I find---could turn out to be very rare---let you know if I come up with anything---
