Please crop and enlarge your image and show pics of both sides of the coin. So far, just looks like it's bent.  to the CCF!

I agree, we need to see both sides of your cent. Sharp, clear larger photos. What word do you think is misspelled?

Yeah, based on your photo of the reverse, it is a highly damaged cent, but I don't think it would be a misspelling; the C took some circulation hits to make it look like a S.  with everyone else.

Can't really tell from the photo but what you describe is impossible to happen during the striking of a coin. Has to be some sort of damage.

Piling on... Appears to be a very well worn and bent cent, with circulation hits. Copper is a relatively soft metal, and coin details can be moved or re-shaped when hit.
