Also, the reverse looks bad to my eyes, corroded and worn, especially at the beginning of E Pluribus Unum. I have a 1909 s myself. I am going to give it an acetone bath one of these days. The obverse on my coin isn't as good as this coin, besides the cleaning. But the reverse is better. I've never used acetone on a coin before. I'll try it out on some coins that I am not worried about what it does to them to get some experience first. I also have an 1870 IHC that I might use acetone on, but I'm 50/59 on whether I will or will not on that coin. Report this Post to the Staff
