Interesting toning, I think the reverse resembles some type of a woody, but I understand that is on Lincoln Cents. It had an hour Acetone bath but did not change the toning.

Yep, roller lined, then the coin was probably lost or droppen on the ground to get that dark toning (Environmental damage)

Question. Are the linear features on the reverse perfectly smooth as you run your finger tip across them at a 90 degree angle, or is there a slight texture?
