Hello all!

A friend of mine has a 1968 cent that might be a DDR, but I am not sure so I need to other opinions. Is it a DDR? Or something else?

Looks like part of the intended design to me. Did you compare it to others?

Perhaps a larger image would help, but this looks pretty normal to me.

That is the ceiling line. The areas missing was polished away because of die clashes to the die. Note the weakness on the 7-9 bays, the same thing. Polishing altered that area as well:

Please just describe issues rather than draw on the photos, or at least show us the coin with and without your drawings. Also tell your "friend" we need photos of the entire coin, both sides as well as larger, sharp closeups.
