We found them at a very senior's relative's home with dates from 1940 (1 coin), 1947 (1 coin) all the way to 1971 (1 coin).....with most coins having dates in the 1960s. (She also has 2 US half dollars).

(All of this coinage was stored loose indoors)

Would each of these coins, assuming they are in similar condition, be of similar sale value i.e. the date years I have mentioned don't really distinguish one from the other? If so approximately how much might she expect for each if she were to sell them?

1967 and earlier are .800 silver, about 9$ each. 1968 and after are made of nickel and are worth 50 cents. The 1967 and earlier may be worth more than 9$ if they are in really high grades. The 1947 check to see if there is a tiny maple leaf , beside the 7 in the date. It is worth more if it has the maple leaf.

Also if there is one dated 1948, it would be worth a premium.

The value of the US half dollars would depend on the years.
They could be silver or nickel.

See https://coinsandcanada.com/coins-prices.php for the Canadian coins (values in CAD). Also https://coinsandcanada.com/coins-grading.php as value varies significantly with the condition of the coin(s). https://coinsite.com/us-coin-values/ for US (values in USD). Note that these are indicative only; don't expect to actually sell for the listed value!
