Hello all. I am new to coin collecting so please go easy on me.
I have this 1963 or 68 D penny that is either one really good strike
error or simply not. I need you to help if you would and keep in mind
I am new to this so I'm still very much learning. I have included multiple pictures.

If you can imagine making a coin look like that by hitting it with a hammer, chisel, or other tools, that's likely what happened to your coin.

Damage is the end for this coin. No need to look farther on it. No use checking for a pulse on a severed head. It's gone. Just a spender now.

Way too many pics, one obverse and one reverse would be sufficient to start.

Just a badly damaged coin. Sorry.

@bsm, first welcome to CCF. Second, yep that coin is damaged, although it is good to confirm with us. This one would be a spender for me.
