Well, the head that you can barely see in the back is the past pres of the RCNA, who was unlucky enough to be standing next to 2 guys well over 6' for the pic. The bald tall guy in the front is Dan, who has a great specialized coin site that's been there for years. http://www.coinzoo.net/ (if you want a special animal look at the bottom right

@okie,I can definably see it lol, I don't know that I ever met him but as a kid my mom was friends with a security guard for the old stadium and we used to play man hunt in the stadium (manhunt is like hide and seek) and I met several players and cheer leaders and maybe the coach but I was 8-10 years old. I have met more hockey players as my fiance is the "cousin" of Tyler Gaudette currently for the Toronto Marley's. The tall guy in the middle I think has a doppelganger that works in the tower at my work. Throw some thick rim glasses on the man next to you okie and he would look a lot like my first foster dad Ludge.

There is someone in Hamilton names Alex that I get confused for all the time-_-.

On a side note okie you look like a sports coach in this photo:p I can see you telling people to run laps(or possibly a drill Sargent:p)

Anyways some true numismatic pioneers for the more modern day in this photo (including Rodger if he's holding the camera). A true honour being able to learn from you guys.

We (or I) should return this thread back to the owner of what was the finest Canadian Numismatic collection ever seen.... Sid Belzberg and his fantastic coins! You actually had to have sunglasses on to see some of those coins. I felt privileged to have had a beer or two with him that day with our CCRS group.

The only toonies I saw that day were tips for the bar-keep.

I can only dream of a set like this(my toonie collection is probably better). If he had the 1911/12 specimen set alone is a dream set. Throw in the 1921 50¢ as well and just WOW. I can only imagine the time, money and effort that went into putting this set together, truly a masterpiece of a collection. I envy you guys for being able to just look at this collection. This is the only forum I have ever been a part of and it is extremely American dominant. Is there a registry link Fortnite his coins before he sold them so I could take a look?

Wrekkdd ... How can you say that the CCF Canadian subforums are "American dominant"? The only subforums that you post on are all on Canadian coinage. If you want to know about Sid's coins and the auctions, do an archive search on this and other coin forums, plus the auction histories.

I meant the CCF has many more American posters then Canadian, I did not mean this specific part of the forum. This is in part due to the lack of research(on more modern Canadian coins compared to American) there are many people studying coins to change this. American coin errors and varieties are so we'll documented and free to the public. Canada has some paid websites and subscriptions, some books I am going to order. As for Sid's amazing collection I feel like on my cell phone would not be the proper way to look at them from what has been said.

This thread seems personal and I apologize for disturbing it.

I think that, by far, there are more Canadian posters than US ... many more. But I'm not talking about all of the forums and subforums that make up all of the CCF site. I only look at the Canadian subforums, not the myriad of CCF's total envelope. I've never been anywhere else other than the 5 Canuck subforums.

In just the Canadian forums or on CCF at large? The latter is not supported by the evidence.

I meant the CCF in whole. Not the Canadian specific forum.

Wrekkd Here is the PCGS registry of our collection
https://www.PCGS.com/setregistry/be...hersets/1515
Our collection is the only non-US collection that made it to the PCGS Awards Hall of Fame.
This is the link to the Canadian portion of our collection at the Heritage Auctions site

Much appreciated Sid, spectacular looking coins. I've never checked out the Heritage Auction site before.
