Sorry guys I'm new here just started looking at my change I had in a jar not very knowledgeable about this stuff but the front the letters in liberty are faint or missing half then reverse the the words at bottom of very faint I took twenty or more pics but most are blurry or can't see the letters at all in them the rim is fine on both sides

No need to be sorry, we're all new at some point.

I would say your coin doesn't have an error, I believe that is known as struck with a grease-filled die. you might notice, because the USofA has "coin-oriented" [vis-a-vis medal-oriented] coins, the bottom of the reverse also exhibits weakness.

It is affected by vending machines Note the damage is confined to an area near the rim on both sides of the coin, where the coin was altered. Beyond that area, the devices are normal. (but flattened a bit from circulation)
