By George, I think I've finally found a true DD! I'm seeing it particularly on the date, and United States of... It appears to also go around the Eagles head and along the left side of his wing?

There seems to be a break on the left wing right above the petal. There's an indent at the tip of the wing.

There is a shadow between the D & O in dollar? Maybe a 2? Don't burst my bubble to bad! I've been studying Wheat Cents all day and decided to look at some new quarters for a change! I hope I finally found "Something" or I better start thinking about a new hobby! Any help in identification would be helpful! Thank you.

Just Machine Doubling on the right side of the devices on UNITED. Not a doubled die. If it were a doubled die, you would not be looking at the outside edges of the devices. You would be looking at the centers of the devices:

Note on this side by side. On the normal devices the size of the devices are being compared with a doubled die. Not how much wider these devices are. Where are they enlarged? In the centers of the devices. Machine Doubling is just a removal of the contour of the devices caused by the machine. On a doubled die, the devices are doubled on the die Enlarged. So look at the centers of the devices for spread on the devices. Don't look at the outsides of devices as that is where you will find Machine Doubling. (and that is what/where you found it on your coin) Face value only for your coin.
