I have run into several coins in the past where CoinFacts will list 20+ varieties w/o showing either photos or pricing for any of these listed varieties.

Please attempt to address all four of these questions if possible:

1) Does that mean that the multiple listed varieties in CoinFacts are so minor that they do not merit the effort to upload this type of data into CoinFacts?

2) Or does it mean that they are so rare that pricing and photos are unobtainable?

3) If they had or have the coin to be able to make a determination of a corresponding variety #, why do not they at least show a photo of the coin they used to pull the data from?

4) Finally, does it mean that if discovered, PCGS would only choose from and mark the slab with the corresponding variety #s shown in the CoinFacts variety section?

The second part of my inquiry deals with an example of an 1861 SL 10C with the above features.

Since nothing is shown at all w/r/t photos or prices for the type 2, would it be a safe bet to assume that the only two varieties worth working with for the 1861 are the ones listed on Gerry Fortin's web site:

Fortin's site is intended to list ALL known varieties. Coinfacts typically will list just the better known or more popular varieties for a series. And PCGS may or may not list the variety on the holder even if it is listed on Coinfacts. Both at the services have list of which varieties they will put on the label.
