Hi all I'm Lori still new here just wanted to share with you what my dad gave me he is 84 years old and got this on his tenth birthday from his grand father. He never spent carried it everyday. Just wanted to share my dads penny story. He gave it to me and said one day it will give you what it gave me. That's what his grandpa said to him I always thought Lincoln look like he was smiling on this penny. Just thought you might enjoy the story.
. Photos are fine. That's a great story. You should put that coin in a 2x2 holder along with that family history written down on a piece of paper attached to the 2x2 John1
John1, Great Idea I will get a holder and write the history. I will never get rid of it. I think my dad knows that he could have given it to anyone of us kid. But chose me. Thanks for the idea.
@lori, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes that is a great story and keeping this cent safe is a great way to keep the connection to your grandfather. Very fun!
