A doubled die will be enlarged in the centers of the devices. The reduced area on MD is where the contour of the devices were removed on the device. MD can happen on normal and doubled dies. I just found more real heavy on the "half" & "dollar" devices. And America. Probably 10-20 different ones. Mostly thr same places. Report this Post to the Staff

If you go way back to my first posts, you'll see how ridiculous they were. Machine Doubling tends to be plentiful on KHDs, not entirely for sure why, but you'll find lots of it. I'm sure someone else will be able to tell you why you're finding so many (half dollars aren't exactly my area of expertise) Report this Post to the Staff

Haha I was doing my dads collection, (still am just taking a break), and was looking for silver in this box of halves. Then I saw a video on roll hunters that pass by variety and errors looking for strictly silver and I thought crap, what am I missing by not checking. Sooo, here I am. OMG what a process.
