Not a "fella" but I'll try to help. Where are you seeing the extra rock? Did you find this possible error on one of the reference sites, if so, which one (link?)? Any info will help us to help you.

Sorry Merclover, old habit. Above the R in Grant. And no I did not look anywhere for it. Did not even think about that. Guess I should do that before I post. I`m still learning and I`m old and forget stuff even when do I learn it.

They Moved it about 1/2 of a mile to the new location. That last time there, it was still there, as part of the structure.

Back to the coin:
If the area is incuse, then it is damage. If it is raised, it could be a die chip. If it is a die chip, then the die has a void on it on that area, and that is how much of the die that broke off of the design.
