Interesting. Thanks fellas! Nothing lost as we received it in change recently. Curious though, what sort of damage causes a smooth edge? There aren't and ridges and the 'corners' between each face and the edge don't seem to have rounding.
Put into a commercial dyer is often the cause, or smacked with a spoon on the outside edge of the coin. Some serious damage was done to this coin, whatever caused it is just a damaged coin issue.
