Small date Philadelphia. Need weight to know whether it is a copper or a copper plated zinc core.

Yes, it is small date, but it is not 1982-D, which would have a D mint mark below the date. Yours was minted in Philadelphia. Bronze is 3.11 grams and zinc 2.5g. Neither has any value unless in the higher uncirculated grades, and there the bronze 1982 is worth slightly more than the zinc ($12.50 versus $2.50 in MS-65, for example). Similarly, whether small or large date, the 1982-D in zinc isn't worth much and little difference in value for the two types.

Only two 1982-D small date bronze have ever been found. Here is an article on them. https://www.numismaticnews.net/worl...t-discovered

Agreed, small date, but as pointed out, not the rare Denver mint copper. Keep searching!

Nice looking small date. What is the weight of it?
I wonder if that spot above the 9 is the start of zinc rot...
