2021-P Jefferson Nickels - Possible Doubled Working Hub Reverse (Help Confirm!)

Tanman2001 Pillar of the Community United States 4406 Posts	Posted 11/11/2021 01:25 am Just recently started getting more 2021 nickels around here, enough to be able to see a handful of different dies. From what I've seen it looks like there may have been a doubled working hub, or something to a similar effect, with maybe a bit more than half of the coins I've been able to look at (not relatively many) having identical doubling below the left ceiling of the doorway. These pictures below are from different coins. None of them appear to be struck from the same dies, yet still have that same doubling. Anyone who is able to look at more 2021-P's than me please take note of the % of coins you see, but preferably the % coins struck from unique dies, with this doubling. It could help concretely id this as a doubled working hub or something else. I haven't been able to look at enough 2021-P's to be 100% confident this is a doubled working hub, could just be very coincidental. I'll be sending around a few emails to see if anyone else has noticed this and if this can get officially confirmed, I'll keep everyone updated in the replies to this thread. And it's visible no matter the die state on the coins you posted. I'm not going to be any help as I don't come across many nickels let alone search them. There were many that were such a late die stage, I could not tell if the anomaly was there or not, so there could have been more than the six I found. I have not had time to look at each of these to see if they were from different dies but given the small sampling and the number of these I found, I would say you are correct about the working hub. Keep up the good work, I've learned much from you, in the short time I've been on this forum. I'll be posting a 2020P nickel that I have found several to have an odd anomaly on the reverse.
