Could you please tell me why this penny has a different look to it, almost like a satin finish on it. I just thought it was unusual.

I agree, looks like a "modern" woody, much more commonly seen on Lincoln wheat cents.

Might want to soak in pure acetone, though, to see if it's tape residue or some other external gunk.

What does the reverse look like?

Given the image posted (wish there was a photo of the reverse), I'm not immediately seeing a satin-like finish. Per the image, it looks like a common, circulated '64 D. Any chance we can see new pics under natural lighting? Thanks.
