Help-1967-Penny-Error?
Help-1967-Penny-Error?

Can anyone help with this 1967? Looks to me to be a printing error but I'm still new and trying to learn... I'm hoping what I'm asking about is pretty obvious but if not I'm speaking in reference to the deep, what appears to me to be strikes in the face in obverse and the smudgy strikes on reverse. Any information is helpful information. Thank you as always!

Yes sorry @miss, but the smeared metal is all damage—not a mint error.

Damage is not an error. It is only an error if it happens during the actual striking of
the coin and what you have would be impossible to happen at that time.

Also coins are not printed, they are struck or minted, currency is printed.

Ok thank you all for the responses. I'm very new to all this, and very interested in learning so I don't have to ask stupid questions. I know y'all probably think I'm just some Uneducated fool, and right now I am uneducated but that's why I'm asking. I'm trying to do some research on my own but I also suffer from severe ADHD, ADD, and a lot of other stuff going on so it's difficult for me to get very far into it .. I appreciate the feedback. Please try to be patient with me...

there are no stupid questions, that's how you learn:)

And the members here are vary patient, I also have ADHD and I have learned to focus it towards the hobby. I have been asking dumb questions for over a year:p

All that being said, education is the key to being a successful numismatic, the amount of info out there is astounding.

Here is a link to learn on different subjects, kind of an answer before you questions. It is a lot of reading, so keep track of what pages you've already covered. (Now 10 pages long and it covers various topics with thousands of images and explanation of what your are seeing on the images. It is under the CoopHome link. Just click on it and it will take you there. Consider it a pre-searching explanation of what to look for when searching. When you go to these threads, if you see something you really liked on the page, post a comment and show what you liked. Then it will bring that thread back up to the top of the threads so others can catch up on what you've already learned. It like a map of the way to search/what is collectable/what you are looking at. So it puts a direction for searching and what you are finding.
