I have an Album of Brittish Farthings all in RD and I wanted to send it into ANACS for grading all the coins. I a mwondering if anyone ever negotiated a special deal for such a thing since all the coins are similar. The are not considered modern because they are pre-1950. There are 24 coins all together.
Whatchya think? Think I can negotiate them to $14 a coin?

"If submitting more than 200 coins or if your coins have a combined declared value of more than $100,000, please contact ANACS Customer Service at 800.888.1861 for rates." Edited by nfine

I hope you can accept a no well, but never hurts to ask otherwise. They aren't a coin shop or car dealership where negotiating is expected, and 24 isn't a very large submission to them. I'm sure they see submissions bigger than this everyday of Morgan's, ASE, and whatever is on special that month. |

It is not my first submission to them and I have been steadly sending them coins, so I might take a no, but all I am asking of them is to grade them at the rate for modern foriegn coins, and I think that it is a reasonable request.
Of course, OTOH, ANACS is already competitively priced and their service has been much better than NGC or PCGS with much quicker turn around times.

24 coins is not an unusually large submission to any of the grading companies, I would doubt they would negotiate on something like that

I believe I used to get $10 a coin just a few years ago, sent in bulk by the hundreds.

They agreeds :) I am actually very happy and now I need to set it up and send it. I have another order of New Zealand coins I was ready to send off to them. My ability to buy raw coins to get grades seems to outstrip my ability to send them out.

Can you please tell me where you're having luck buying quality raw coins that you submit for grading?
That's exactly what I'm starting to do but want the peace of mind that the company is legit and not selling cleaned coins etc.
I'd be looking for vintage US silver, Cuban Silver, also France, UK and Canada
Any suggestions would be appreciate
