Just curious if you think this is too good to be true...
? 90-CC for $90 BIN! This seller has other auctions
being discussed here as possible counterfeits. This
one may be as well. Any thoughts or observations?

Hi Ratio,
The price isn't unbelievable for a '90-CC in lower grade. It would be a very good buy IMO if it were a no-problem EF but I don't like the color of this one. Even if it is genuine (and I don't seen any obvious authenticity problems) I'd presume it has been cleaned and possibly re-toned. I would try to find one with a more original look.

Seller is known to me personally as a purveyor of illegal counterfeits, if that says anything.

The color is a big red flag to me. That's the color of one I bought a while back, which had been "smoked" to hide a massive brushing. Danger, Will Robinson! (RIP Bob May)

Also, you should look through the feedback at all of the Morgans the seller has sold recently.

I thought that both the 8 and the 9 in the date looked
very suspect. If the makers of these counterfeit Morgans
ever perfect the dates, I won't be able to spot them.

In the other thread about this seller, I posted a pic of
a 1903-O. The date looks obviously wrong on that one, but
the coin weighs out correct!

I posted a new thread for this one as it looked borderline
'real', and I wanted a quick feedback on your take on the
BIN price being asked. Thanks!
Dave
