Having a difficult time identifying this LWC variety

appears to be a 'light' class vi DDO in a late stage/state - slight extra thickness on LIBERTY, date & motto

markers:
obverse - shoulder die crack from rim to just over vdb
reverse - die cracks all over

edit: question - is that MD around the silhouette? seen it before on late 30's LWCs

Start by separating it out by doubling class. Check the E of WE for class II doubling. If none, then it can only be just class VI. That may eliminate a number of the dies from this year as most have class II.

I looked through everything and could find no match or any unlisted markers to match up. There are two masters with doubling but neither of those match. I see what you see but it may be too minor to list, may be worth sending in though. What you see around Abe, I think is trenching/channeling, common during that time frame.

By the way, thanks for the nice pics to work with.

Thanks for checking it out.

I couldn't see any class ii traits so that's why I figured it was solely class vi, though the late state might not show those characteristics so well.

It is very light so you are probably correct that it is just too minor to list.

I did look through all three sites and didn't see anything so that is why I was seeking assistance. It seems several on VV don't show late stage.

edit: ebay seller does such a great job on pics I had to use his

Markers mean nothing if the hub doubling is not present. It is just a normal die with a die crack on the bust.
