So I saw that pre Cud on an ebay coin and looked it up. Nope, it's a new one so I bought it as a cherrypick. It's not massive movement, but it does have movement in both directions so hopefully it'll get listed. But while going over the coin I noticed the date was doubled, and that it had a minor split serif RPM. A bit of digging and I found that these actually are both listed in the Wexler files. So if it gets listed as a pre Cud, it'll be a double variety error coin. 1943-D Lincoln Wheat cent doubled die + die event - WDDO-036, WRPM-026, Pre Cud

Double variety! Is acetone safe to use on the zinc plating?

Thanks folks! I'll update the possible pre Cud when I hear back from JC about whether it gets listed or not.

Variety Vista might like to see an update on their site if this is a different die state that they might be interested in. Possible Wexler and coppercoins might also like to see these images?

Note the lack of a CONECA listing number. It's not on there so would be a new listing altogether if they accepted it. Certainly don't mind adding die stages to the sites, but last time I sent coins to Wexler they were gone for 10 months. For most of the past many years Coppercoins was not accepting coins and I honestly don't know if that's changed as they are certainly putting up a lot of new dies these days. It's just gotta be a process that is reasonable to do. For cuds-on-coins I take the needed photos, JC vets the coins as worthy or not, and if they are good he lists them using my photos. Easy. Just found another new pre Cud 20 minutes ago and the images are already sent off to JC. The work gets done when it doesn't take forever to get to the end result.
