I received my Fifth Edition, Volume 1 Half Cents to Jefferson nickels from Amazon yesterday. I had pre-ordered this @$26.37 some time ago. A great value. I am impressed with the hardcover with spiral bound feature.

Now I need to get Volume 2, but I guess it is only in Fourth Edition.

A great book at a great value....will be able to burn some winter hours using this.

Yep, Vol 2 is the 4th edition but it was released in late 2006 whereas Vol 1 4th Ed was released in 2000.

Is there really more stuff to look at to justify buying a new volume?

The new volume does have updated information on coin populations and pricing guide( which of course is just an estimate, but it is from ones more expert than I). This alone would make it worth it to me.

The new one is WAAAAY over hyped to being something you would want to rush out and buy!,,ALOT of BAD reviews.
For being a NEW guide, the lincoln only go to 2000. WOW a whole 3 years past what the last one did 10 years ago!
I think it was just a bunch of info thrown together without too much overlooking. Prices are way out of wack also.

For example.
The impossible to find 1992-D Lincoln Close AM .......MS65 - $75 (Ill buy every persons 92 Close AM for this price!..any sellers?)
2000-S Proof Close AM? It was suppose to be a 92 Proof Close AM.. Theres no record of a 2000!

Theres a lot of mistakes. Put it that way.
Tons of forums are runnin this book down. I know atleast 100 complaints that whitmans received becuz this book. ONLY thing I really like about this guide is that a few of the names they mention in here are our REGULAR forum EXPERTS we get our advise from!
So to know you can post something and know the REAL EXPERTS are replying feels great!
