I've has some luck with new Zealand Bonze Pennies

This one is a 1942 and was graded wonderful MS64 BRN

The penny and halfpenny are very nice designs.

Yeah - you woldn't think a large copper coin can be so nicely done, but there it is.

Nice coins and pretty rare to get 1940s coppers in that shape. Most are F - VF, but yours are basically UNC. There were always shortages of these here and these did well surviving in that shape.

There were even campaigns here in WW2 and the mid 60s which tried to stop people hoarding the coins - so you did really well!

I like these in good shape. Behind the six pence coins, these have become one of my favorites.

For those who are using Chrome or Chromium based browsers (Edge, Opera, etc) and cannot see the images, please try this:

  • Click on the padlock in the address bar.

  • Click on site settings.

  • Under Permissions, scroll down to 'Insecure content' and set to Allow.

  • Reload the page and images should load.


This will only affect CCF. Mixed content will remain blocked on all other sites until you allow it.

If you can't see images in Firefox......Click on padlock in address bar...Click the down arrow where it says HTTPS-Only Mode and select Off temporarily.
