Is this the same thing as a lamenting error like my previous post? Or is clad layer different?

No clad layer on a cent. Environmental damage. Maybe a once buried coin or a fountain coin.

Also not a lamination error on this coin. Just damage as noted above. This one is a spender.

with damage, and all pre 1982 are 95% copper, so copper plating issues can't be a thing yet .

No clad layer for '76 D cents. Coin looks like it spent some time in a somewhat acidic soil environment.
