BigSilver Pillar of the Community United States 2843 Posts	Posted 11/25/2021 09:24 am Continuing my search thru the proof sets, I found 2 of these. I am posting only 1 of them. There are no other known doubled dies for that year and therefore attribution is easy. If it is a true doubled die, it is FS-101. Quote: Check for the re-engraved tail feathers I was definitely looking for those. They seem even more valuable than the DDO. I am amazed at the collectability of recut or re-engraved varieties. To me, it is like collecting die states. A die got overused, and then fixed up a little. I did find a re-engraved coat Lincoln Cent a while back which I sent off to NGC already. I don't have nice pictures of it, but I have a not-so-nice picture. It should be enough to confirm the attribution as FS-402 Report this Post to the Staff
