Sounds like a regular Philadelphia mint copper cent.
Pictures will confirm if it is a Large or Small Date and
if there is anything special about it.

If you are asking if it is 'the' one cent everyone is looking for (The 1982 small date copper 'D') The one you are proposing in your lead in post, it is not . It is just a normal cent. However, can we see a picture of your coin please?
