http://www.coins-of-the-uk.co.uk/pics/index.html is one site.

http://www.michael-coins.co.uk/brit...tishlist.htm is similar (it is a shop but many of the listings have variety information.

There are others http://www.declanmageecoins.co.uk/t...lection.html for example) and some other sites that specialise in certain denominations. But British coins have a very wide breadth of varieties and overdates, way more so than Canadian coins, and mostly reference books rather than websites fully cover that breadth.

I've moved your question to the British Coins subforum, where the British locals hang out. They're probably more knowledgeable on the subject.

Part of the "problem" with having a one-stop-shop website for "British coins" is the deep history of coinage in Britain, compared to North America or the other colonies. Unlike "Canadian coins" or "American coins" or "Australian coins", the "British coins" series has no clear obvious start date. How far back in time would your "British coins website" need to go? The Great Recoinage of 1816? The 1709 act of Union with Scotland (when "English coins" effectively ended and "British coins" began)? the English Civil War? The commencement of machine-struck (milled) rather than hammered coinage? The Norman conquest of 1066? Or would you go all the way back to Dark Age, Roman, and pre-Roman Celtic coinages? There are "British coin catalogues" that have considered all of these boundaries as meaningful demarcations for inclusion or exclusion.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
