I keep telling this seller that the1864-L's that he lists are actually 1864 bronze cents. He ignores me and keeps doing it anyway. I guess there's really nothing that can be done but it's slimy. I guess it's on the buyer to do his homework but it doesn't seem right.

Report him to ebay.

Well, all the round busts give it away that they can't be the L variety, and the color is off... Imagine a new collector not very familiar with the Indian cents and buys one of these once they find out it is not the L type...

I reported him. If multiple people do I'm sure ebay will do something.

On a positive note, I just learned what a 1864-L is.

While the 1864 L cents are bronze, those ones aren't them. Hard to believe so many people bid on them.

They call the non L an 1864 bronze to differentiate it from the 64-L.

I messaged him, he claimed I was harassing him and said he was going to report me

I agree, he knows exactly what he is doing, very deceitful person.

A possible silver lining in this is that all the winners of these 64Ls would sadly find out they are not , and give him all bad reviews on ebay

How do you know whether it's an "L" or not when the coin is so badly worn?
