Hi guys.

My friend and I have been working on this website for quite some time. He did most of the work building the site while I wrote the articles.

Today we have finally published the website so I would like to ask if possible to check out the articles on the site as I have written one about the background history of the creation of the Fatman dollar.

@curr, that is an interesting article as we see Farman dollars here on CCF all the time (mostly modern fakes). Perhaps an article of what to look for might be the subject of a follow up?

These are simple but wonderful designs and good sized silver coins.
Many are faked as I have a small quantity in my collection.
I've seen a number of pictures of these coins from members here on this forum asking for authentication.
Viewing the pictures of the fakes in my collection, I'd say it is not often easy to tell.

I enjoyed reading the article, good background history in making of the Fatman dollar.
Agree with Albert, pictures sometime will not be enough to authenticate some of these fakes and genuine silver dollar.

It would certainly be a good idea to include an article to write about how to authenticate a fatman dollar but that would be in the far future because of two reasons:

1. Each year has a bunch of different varieties and there is next to no standard features that all fatmans has.
2. I would also have to do a lot of research in order to write a good article because I don't want to disappoint the people reading it.

But I certainly will start working on it once there is enough traction in the website so more people are exposed to it.

Thanks for the information and regarding Counterfeit Detection. I want a fatman but have been loathe to get one as my knowledge is too minimal given all the fakes in circulation.
