Going through some oddities I picked up along the way during my roll hunting for varieties I do stumble across some questionable things now and then, so I put them away for later and this 1971 small cent happened to be one of them.
When I first saw it I thought maybe some kind of stain but kept it anyway. When I decided to put it under the microscope I was surprised to see the obvious symptoms of being struck through either some type of thread or wire.
I have included plenty of photos, and yes these areas although faint, are raised except for two small areas where the object was dislodged which can be found above the "E" in "REGINA" and on the queen's forehead right above her eyebrow that looks like a bag mark, but it's not.
Curious to know opinions on what might have happened here from the error guys.
