Most of the scratches are on the holder, but the blemish in the right obverse field is on the coin.

Will have to sell this, but I will have PCGS re-holder it first.

Grade?

Are those scuffs by STATES on the reverse on the coin or holder?

I'm taking 2 guesses. MS64 or PF64. The obverse looks cameo, but the reverse does not. Nice looking coin.

this is strange bird as the obverse looks proof and reverse looks business strike. MS65 or PF65?

This is tough, I agree. I'll say 64 if a proof (my guess) or 65/better if MS.

Definitely a proof, with very sharp details and strong obverse cameo. The obverse field hairlines are pretty obvious and should be grade-limiting. Should top out at PR-63. Won't qualify for CAM unless the reverse has more contrast than what shows in the image. Very nice-looking coin regardless.

Obviously a proof, I'll say PF-64CAM. I think the way the picture was taken affected the appearance of the mirror finish on the reverse, causing it to look less cameo than it actually is.
Suffering from bust half fever.

Here she is. For what it's worth, they're pretty good pics. The reverse looks pretty much like it appears here. Proof, but not particularly CAM-my.

She wasn't cheap. Just shy of $2,000. I'll have to sell her on at some point.

Why do you want to sell it? Low grade ?

Because there are limits to the amount of high-value personal inventory I can keep. $2000 is a big chunk of change for me.

Buying and selling coins like this raises my profile on auction sites, which helps me move inventory. It doesn't pay the rent, and it is hit or miss whether I actually earn anything on any one coin, but in aggregate my coin trading yields a few extra dollars that enable me to keep that occasional coin I just can't bear to part with.

Alas, there's no way I can hold on to every nice coin I buy.
