Noticed on Coin World Leroy Van Allen sold is coin assets to Michael Fey. I also saw on VAM World Leroy is passing the job of identifying new VAMS to others. Leroy has had an amazing career with Morgan and Peace dollars, so much knowledge and fun for collectors! A few years ago I sent a Peace dollar to Leroy, but alas it wasn't VAM worthy. I'll keep his rejection note with his signature.

I saw the announcement in the most recent VAM-e That I received on the 2nd. I do not know Mr. Leroy Van Allen personally, as I'm sure some here do but know that he worked tirelessly to further the study of Morgan and Peace silver dollars. I am fortunate enough to have a couple discoveries and the letters from Leroy, that I will always cherish. I wish him well.
