Seems to have irregular spacing between the letters shilling. Anyway what grade might she be ? Any variants ?

Pretty standard for that era, mass produced item - so very little care taken. They used that lettering and design until 1901!

Your coin was probably late in its life cycle, also this is sterling silver which is soft and takes a hiding over time, a 1 shilling coin in the mid 19th century was like the $5 - $10 note of its time if you get what I mean.

Gradewise, this is decent and quite nice. I would say a full Fine with the usual dings and knocks you expect from a 185 year old coin which was likely used at least until the 1920s and up to the 1970s. I suspect it was cleaned quite harshly in the past though (Over 20 years ago).

Coaster - your 1836 shilling - honest what the heck, that thing is amazing!!!

English Milled Coinage in Silver, Copper and Bronze, by Geoffery M Cope, indicates that there is only one variety for the 1936 Willian 11 silver shilling. That suggests that the same master die was used to produce all of the working dies for all 1836 dated Shillings.
That being the only variety as shown in this thread.

It is possible that individual working dies can have some work done to them, but Cope does not indicate this.

The 1936 Willian 11 shilling, wow that is a coin I must get. Who was Willian the eleventh king of in 1936?

Sorry Sel, I am in my silly mood today.
