Learn this, pictures cannot be fully trusted. They are merely representations of the truth. Coin collecting isn't about grading pictures, it's about holding and seeing a coin yourself. Only then can you really determine the grade (with experience) and most importantly - the eye appeal. Something pictures cannot tell you. A lot of minor imperfections, as long as they are not too distracting, are forgiven with great eye appeal and luster.

BadThad , you know I hold you in high regard, everything you say, I take to heart. There are so many good educational comments on this thread. To all of you that read this ; your comments are helpful and definitely appreciated and not disregarded with me thinking you don't know what you are talking about. Without my forum buddies I would be lost in the middle of the forest, now I am lost in the forest but headed in the right direction. What one person finds appealing only means it's appealing to them (or so I think?). I love the brown ones ,the woodgrain ones, the cherry red ones and the golden ones (one of my many problems) ideas on taking a class are intriguing to me . Logistics and my job present obstacles. As for saving my money,(how right you are) I used to go blow 500 at the casino 3 times a year (that's sort of a donation!). I am processing all the information that's presented. I have purchased some ms-67 coins and a couple 68 coins to study. Rest assured I will slow down submissions, being much more confident when I do submit. I want to complete a set of memorials with my own submissions. For the enjoyment I get. I may hit 67 on the journey?

Helder don't waist you breath ,I tried a few time to get him to learn how to Quote . I think he likes the way he writes everything out .

The etiquette police are in full force. Putting " marks around a quote is the proper way to quote someone according to the English teachers where I work. However, we are not in English class or school. Besides while trying to learn to grade Lincolns, I have had to learn how to take proper pictures and post correctly while keeping a full time job. My first concern is learning to grade from you guys. I know a post rarely comes out the way it's intended (attitude wise) and I have not intended to aggravate you guys. My question to you is How fast would a penny be traveling if I threw it at you from a rooftop of a building 1500 ft tall with an initial velocity of 50 ft/sec and it struck you on the head ( not letting air resistance come into play) and would it be traveling fast enough to penetrate your skin. . I am not a photographer, nor a computer whiz and for sure not an English professor. Ease up on me, I am far from dumb.. I have now been given three different ways to properly coin quote. ps I also have not read the glossary of all coin abbreviations! oh! by the way the coin would hit you at roughly 315 ft/sec and it takes something traveling at 800 ft/sec to penetrate the body cavity not necessarily the skin but you would get a bruise. Well gravity is pulling you at 9.8 meters per second but because on earth we have air resistance the penny (actually 1 cent) won't ever hit you at the speed you put in, I'm interested in science, math, internet protocol and coins. I guess you can call me a renaissance man, but when I'm critiqued I try to learn instead of trying to make others feel inferior.
