Coin on ebay, screenshots from seller photos.
Curious to the grade of this coin. I also see a few scratches right above the Indian braided hair, plus a streak of some sort by liberty. What could be the cause of that? My first thoughts were cleaned, or perhaps mold.

I'm in the AU-55/-58 range with this coin.
Plus the strike is a bit weak.

AU-58 sounds right. Apparent lack of luster is a drawback.

All the bumps in the fields is probably damage (clashes and polishing) of the dies. They can get pretty worn, leading to less sharp strikes and all those issues.
Rest in Peace

AU-58 , I'm not sure if those scratches on hair would detail the coin but otherwise not a bad Buffalo nickel .

I'm at AU58 as well. Agreed with Sheldius. "Marks" you're seeing are a combination of clashing and polishing of the dies, decent amount of Die Deterioration visible. Strike is actually pretty decent, but the die state has taken its toll on the overall sharpness, IMO.
