 it's PMD. I'm pretty sure that if it left the mint minus the bottom half then it would have been snapped up long before it had the chance to accumulate any further damage! Out of interest mds308, how did it come into your possession?

Could've spent 20 minutes on the belt sander... Definitely PMD. The metal that is folding inward is probably from circulation.

Not sure whys so many negative statements. I suspect people here just don't think the Mint makes coins like that.

The edges don't look like straight clips that I've seen. They don't have the folded metal in like that.
