That pretty nice. Is that period counterfeit or a more modern one? Guess that's why people figured out the ping test and had marble shelves on cash registers.

There is really no way I know of to tell when this was made, and it's pretty good so maybe was an attempt to pass it as real. But in general when I see a mint mark on a counterfeit I start moving into the territory of thinking about a counterfeit for the collecting community. But I guess it really comes down to what coin they used to make the mold in the first place, but what are the odds it was a more rare date unless that's what they were going for?
