Sorry was unsure where to post this question but I just received a coin from my brother that he found with his metal detector on one side it says straits settlement 1902 5 cents the other side has king George, anyone know about these coins.

"Straits Settlements" was the name given to the federation of small British territories on the Malayan Peninsula, in what is now Malaysia and Singapore.

The 1902 5¢ is made of silver, .800 fine. Probably worth around $10 in typical condition.
