Apologies for being absent for a while. Have received a few entries. Will process this weekend. Quote:
I'll try to figure out a list if there's still any time left! Would have done it earlier, but was unexpectedly told late yesterday night that today would be extremely busy for me all day, and only just got back home a few minutes ago.
Am feeling generous so if you can get the results to me by the weekend That's OK. Steve - Have you migrated all your coins to Numista?

@David Graham, can you let us know if our lists arrived before the weekend?
Maybe give a list of received responses on this thread to make sure you received it and it arrived safely. Thanks.

WOW neat competition/game...just found this "topic" tonight and ran through all the pages.. Congrats to DG for putting in all the work... Also a lot of chitchat from the guys down under (lock down must be driving you all ) US team pretty quite...Good luck, looks like you'll need as much as possible Now that I can find this again, think I'll run leisurely through the photos and see how I do (just at first glance, think I got @ 30/35 id'd) Oh David when you say WA to Steve, what cities or territory or you referring to?....

It's the largest state in Australia - 33% of land mass and it's on the west side. It's a lovely state (if not a tad hot at times) though Steve may have other thoughts.

Greasy Fingers, I am in Western Australia, in the Capital city of Perth. As David said we take up about 1/3 of Australia and are the second largest state in the world. Texas has nothing on us. Hehe. Quote: (if not a tad hot at times) Prediction of 40C again next week. :( Quote: (lock down must be driving you all ) No lockdowns here mate, our borders are shut tight. That will change next month though.

Welcome Greasy Fingers. Glad you found it and glad to hear you are fairing a lot better than I have.
TM may have been in the Merchant Marines to be able to ID so many coins so quickly. I say that because about 15 years ago at a local flea market there was a widow reluctantly selling her deceased husband's binder full of world coins, one coin at a time. 8-10 pages. He had been in the Merchant Marines and collected them from ports of call. I arrived late to that party as well but managed to pick up a few Portuguese silver ones from the fifties (I think). Very interesting to see the diversity in the album.

Ahoy matters, cast ye mainsail and let us all row ashore.
I agree, thanks David Graham for all the work and effort that went into this very amusing but frustrating competition. It definitely gave me a good escape these holidays (Dealing with a very unwell partner and the hot summer from hell).
Okay 26 - 28c is not that hot Australia wise, but it is when its 13 hours of blazing sun everyday, a oven for a house, fans on all day and 99% humidity. Plus it stays above 21c until 2am!

They had been exploring the West Coast of Australia for close to 200 years, landed there a couple of times, but because that part is desert with almost no water, they deemed it unworthy for colonizing and so never claimed it.

Very true. That was there loss. They landed there at least as early as the 1600s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hartog_Plate
