Pretty cool coin appears to be 1757 over 56
Just wondering if this is normal, as I could not find the variety listed.

@wind, it is pretty hard to see what you have there with these pics taken through the 2x2. Any chance of you retaking them, perhaps adding a close up of the date? Thx.

Yes indeed, I think I see what you are seeing, a 7 over 6, but if these are images from your touchphone, then you should have a zoom-in feature, and then a crop feature to really see things up close and personal . Cool coin though.

Make sure to flatten those staples if you put it in another 2x2 holder. If it is a rare coin, you might want to put it in an Air-Tite capsule.

@wind, thx for adding that additional pic. It shows off the overdate nicely. I've taken the liberty of cropping and enhancing this image to make it even more clear:

@John1 it has a numismatic scarcity index of 98 out of 100, if I recall correctly.

@Spence- Thanks
@mrwhatisit- thanks again

Here is a reference for the coin. It is the Vienna variety which is oddly the most scarce. The overdate is not listed anywhere I have seen, but I don't know if that matters for such old coins.

I think it's really neat that I can find coins from the 18th century and buy them for less than a hamburger combo costs at Hardee's.

While everyone is buying graded ASE'S I can get actually hunks of history. What a time to be alive!!
