What would you say that is at the rim? Could it be a Cud?

Your contrast is set too low. I don't see where the crack connects to the head (thus a "Spike Head")

I don't see a crack at the head, but the one at the bottom is nice. Not a Cud though. It is strange that the 'chips' on the coin look incused, but how can that happen? did the planchet break and have those 2 pieces fall off?

Just curious.
( If ) a die chip includes the field and rim?

The crack on the bust running to the rim is the "Spike Head"

You're right gorham.
Cudsoncoins has it as. A crack from any part of the bust connecting to the rim is a Spike Head. It was strange to me also, saying Spike Bust sounds odd to me also.
It's different also if a crack starts say from the rim next to WE goes down through the bust and ends up at the rim below the bust that's considered two different Spike Heads.

Thanks everyone for looking and comments.
