I refer to this as ejection doubling, (another form of Machine Doubling that only affects the tops of the devices that occur when the coin leaves the chamber. Not a premium for this)   |

I will look tomorrow and see if I can find my example of this but this is actually die cracks, chipping that followed the date for some reason in the large date 60's, there are several out there. It was hypothesized to be because of the large date being made larger and thinned out. This was explained to me a few years ago by someone far sharper than me. I too, thought I had a DDO.  -makecents-
